Simplified Signal Generator

  • iM1671 is a simplified signal generator that supports eDP1.4 8.1Gbps.
    iM 1671 is ideal for high-resolution, high-speed transmission modules.

Editable Pattern and Timing

  • According to the test environment, pattern creation and timing setting are freely available by attached editor software.
    iM1671 can be used shortly in a saving space for its simple operation and compact design.
    Supporting 4K2K/60Hz module.

Compatible with 8K4K pixel modules

  • iM1671 has two Displayport outputs.
    Simultaneous display of two panels,Alternatively, it is possible to display a panel equivalent to 8 lanes divided into left and right.

Enhanced GPIO functions

  • In addition to normal GPIO functions, it can be used as PWM output, I2C, and SPI.
    Script language Lua5.3 is adopted, and arbitrary control by script description is possible.

Specification

DisplayPort 1.4 compatible. (8.1 Gbps x 4 lanes)

  • Two Displayport With the AUX over I2C function, it is possible to read/write the internal device on the module side.outputs.
  • Each output can output signals up to 8.1Gbps (4lanes).
  • Can be set to any bit rate between 1.62Gbps and 8.1Gbps.(10Mbps increments.)
  • It is also possible to output one image by combining two outputs.
  • Supports 10bit bitmap image display.(10bit bitmap format has limitations.)
  • With the AUX over I2C function, it is possible to read/write the internal device on the module side.。
  • DPCD and I2C over AUX are controlled by Lua script description.

Pattern editing by Script

  • Lua5.3 is adopted for Scirpt language. All operations are described and executed with Lua script.
  • Sync Timing, pattern, etc. are also done by script editing.
  • Includes Pattern Editor Software. Lua scripts can also be written with a normal text editor.
  • Supported file division of Lua Script. It is possible to divide and share the same description in multiple scripts into separate files as a sharing function.

CMOS I/O and auxiliary signals

  • 6 GPIO terminals and 4 GPO terminals.
  • It can also be used as PWM output, I2C, and SPI.
  • Added external trigger input interrupt function.
  • 3.3V and 12V can be supplied externally as auxiliary power output.
  • GPIO control, I2C, and SPI communication are realized by writing scripts.
  • It is possible to read/write/verify the connection destination I2C, SPI device, etc. by writing Lua Script.

Compatible with iM1283

  • Lua Script created for iM1283 can be used. If you use only the basic functions, you can use it without rewriting.
  • Our DisplayPort simple signal generators iM1283 and iM1427 are compatible with SG, I/O and DisplayPort parts.(The connector specifications are the same. External connection devices for previous models can be used as they are.)
  • It is possible to read/write/verify the connection destination I2C, SPI device, etc. by writing Lua Script.

External control by console

  • It is possible to control iM1671 via USB.
  • A sample program for creating control software is available. There are Excel VBA and C# versions.
